WM Affiliate Network: FAQ

How long have you been operating on the internet?

Over 11 years. The WM Affiliate Network first appeared on the internet in October of 1999 and has since established an international membership base with affiliates throughout the world.

How much money do I receive for every sale resulting from one of my referrals?

$10 USD (U.S. Dollars).

How do I get paid?

We employ the secure payment system of PayPal to effect automatic payments to affiliates. You will therefore need a PayPal account.

How frequently will I get paid?

On the 16th of the month your payment is due – irrespective of the balance in your account. Unlike other affiliate networks, there is no minimum balance required before you get paid. This means that even if you only have $10 USD in your account, you will be paid that amount when your payment is due. The funds in your affiliate account are therefore paid to you in full.

Are any fees deducted from my affiliate account?

No. Furthermore, we do not charge any fees when transferring payments to affiliates, and we do not charge any monthly or annual fees.

Who pays the payment transfer fee required by PayPal?

We do. All PayPal charges associated with the issuance of affiliate monthly payments are borne by the WM Affiliate Network. Affiliates are not charged any fees for receiving monthly payments.

Can I use a 'free' e-mail address (e.g. Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, etc.) for my PayPal account?

Certainly. The WM Affiliate Network will issue monthly payments to any PayPal account designated by the affiliate, regardless of the type of e-mail address linked to that PayPal account. The only stipulation is that you also provide the WM Affiliate Network with a non-free e-mail address at all times to ensure unhindered correspondence between the affiliate and the WM Affiliate Network when necessary.

How do you track sales originating from my site?

As an affiliate you will receive a unique ID that will be attached to any affiliate banner link on your web site. When a person who visits your web site clicks this link and is taken to the advertised product's web site, your unique ID is then placed in a cookie file on the person's computer system. The cookie process is active by default in internet browsers such as Mozilla Firefox®, Internet Explorer® and Opera®. This effectively tags the person's computer system as having clicked your affiliate link. The cookie file contains your unique ID in encrypted format. This cookie file is then checked by us before every sale we receive, and when your unique ID is found your affiliate account will automatically be credited $10 USD. You also receive an e-mail after each successful sale.

Do you set a time limit on your cookie files?

No, we do not set a time limit on cookies. Unlike other affiliate networks which may set limits of 10 or 15 days – after which time they destroy both the cookie file and your potential to earn a commission from future sales – we do not set a time limit on our cookie files. This means that we will still credit all future sales to your affiliate account.

Can I choose the type of banner link I display on my web page(s)?

Yes. A variery of banner links are provided with full HTML code. You will need access to your web server to place these links onto your web pages. Full instructions, including banner images and HTML source code, may be obtained by navigating through the appropriate link on your WM Affiliate Network Control Panel once you become an affiliate. In the interim, you may wish to view a small selection of our Sample Banner Links.

What type of referrer statistics do you provide?

We provide detailed referrer statistics for every successful sale originating from your web site. These statistics can be accessed through the secure WM Affiliate Network Control Panel. We also provide statistics concerning the total number of banner clicks (referrals) originating from your web site(s).

Can I close my affiliate account at any time?

Yes, of course.

Are there any fees due if I close my affiliate account?

None whatsoever. The full amount in your affiliate account shall be paid to you when your payment is due on the 16th of the month, the day on which all affiliates receive their monthly payments.

Do you charge affiliates any monthly or annual fees?

No. All the money you earn as an affiliate remains yours and is forwarded to you when your payment is due.

Is my affiliate information safe/secure?

Yes. The WM Affiliate Network Control Panel resides on a Secure Web Server equipped with an authorized 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate. Furthermore, all data is encrypted and very safe.

Are my affiliate earnings protected against fraud?

Absolutely. All WM Affiliate Network sales are conducted through our partnership with PayPal's Anti-Fraud Payment Facility. This means that all visitors from your web site who choose to buy our products are checked by PayPal to ensure they are providing valid payment details and not engaging in a fraudulent purchase. Additionally, the PayPal Anti-Fraud Payment Facility can detect international networks and I.P. addresses previously used for fraudulent activities. These protections collectively help to secure our sales and your affiliate earnings against fraud.
